Arsenic and Old Lace

by Joseph Kesselring

We’re doing a twist here at Center Stage! Mortimer Brewster has a brother who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, another brother who, thanks to a botched plastic surgery, looks like Boris Karloff, and a pair of spinster aunts who practice the kindest form of charity–elderberry wine laced with arsenic for lonely old gentlemen. If Mortimer marries the love of his life, will their offspring inherit the Brewster “crazy” gene? A killer comedy, the play has had audiences rolling in the aisles for decades.”
